KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a C-terminal tripeptide fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). Published research has shown KPV inhibits NF-κB and MAP kinase inflammatory signaling pathways at nanomolar concentrations, and studies have identified PepT1-mediated uptake in intestinal and immune cell models as a key delivery mechanism.

Research Applications

  • NF-κB and MAP kinase inflammatory pathway inhibition research
  • PepT1-mediated tripeptide transport studies in intestinal/immune cells
  • Intestinal epithelial and mucosal signaling research models
  • Melanocortin-receptor pathway signaling research
